Claude comes to the design stack

Good morning {{first_name| Artificial intelligence lovers}}. Every few weeks, it seems a humanitarian launch sparks a new industry. This time it’s design.

Claude Design turns prompts, screenshots and code bases into shippable prototypes – the latest layer of the Anthropic software stack quietly pulled under one roof.

Anthropic

Rundown: Anthropic only Fired Claude Design, a new tool that turns prompts, screenshots and code bases into interactive prototypes, slide decks and marketing tools powered by the company’s new Opus 4.7 vision model.

  • Claude can read users’ codebases and existing mockups during onboarding to create a branding system that automatically applies to every future project.

  • Users can improve designs through chat, inline comments, live edits, or custom sliders that Claude creates for spacing, color, and layout.

  • Finished work can be delivered to Claude Code as a ready-to-create package or exported to Canva, PPTX, PDF or standalone HTML for further editing.

  • Anthropic COO Mike Krieger resigned from Figma’s board of directors on April 14, three days before its launch, amid rumors of a competing product from the company.

Why it matters: Every few weeks, a new humanitarian launch shakes up an industry – and this time it’s design. With the new tool, Anthropic closes the loop from first sketch to product shipping within a single ecosystem. Add Cowork, browser agents, and desktop integrations, and every layer of the software stack moves under one umbrella.

Along with sonar

Rundown: The agility of autonomous agents requires moving from reactive testing to proactive engineering. Sonar’s CEO has formulated an “Agent-Centric Development Cycle” framework that challenges how verification works in the agent world – by embedding it at every stage of the engineering process, within every ideation cycle, and at the exit of the sandbox.

  • Orient agents in a project-specific context

  • Generate code using LLM-based tools within your architecture and standards

  • Check code integrity inside the sandbox – automatically and at agent speed

  • Independently resolve bugs and vulnerabilities

RUNDOWN ROUND TABLE

Rundown: The Rundown Roundtable is a weekly feature in which we poll The Rundown staff members about how we use AI in our work and daily lives.

Zack, Artificial Intelligence Writer: My father takes a large number of different medications every day for different conditions, and also visits a lot of different doctors. I was concerned about how they would all interact with each other and whether the doctors in the different practices were getting the full picture.

I gave Claude a comprehensive list of all his medications and medical history, and asked him for an in-depth research report on possible interactions. Claude provided a comprehensive list of issues to raise with his doctors about dangerous interactions and situations that might be missed, noting recent journals, guidelines, and research that would have taken days.

She also laid out everything in an easy-to-read format, and provided specific instructions on who to contact and what specific questions to ask-helping turn a doctor’s conversation that can be stressful and disjointed into a powerful plan of action.

Joy, Head of Partnerships: I connect Claude to all my communication platforms (Slack, Notion, Calendars, Granola, etc.) and he prepares me a morning summary every day. I’ve organized it so that it gives me an interactive page each day with call setup, priority tasks, recommendations for tools to use to solve XYZ, a summary of overnight activities, etc.

Artificial intelligence training

Rundown: In this guide, learn how to download LLM Programming course on your laptop using Ollama. You will be able to run it for free within popular programming tools like Claude Code or Codex.

  1. Take a screenshot of your computer’s hardware specs, drop it into Claude or ChatGPT, and ask which sample Ollama program you can run

  2. browse Programmer modelschoose the most suitable option, and get the launch order from Ollama. Example: “Olama Launch Claude–Gemma4:e4b Model”

  3. Open a terminal in your project folder, paste the command, download, and wait. Once you’re done, Ollama takes you to Claude Code, pointing to the local model

  4. Go to Olma > Settings > Context. Upgrade the default 4K resolution to 32K or higher. If Claude Code rejects tasks or drops tool calls, try OpenCode in the same way

Pro Tip: Local AI is not a replacement for paid Claude Code/Codex. Treat it as practice or basic correction. You can convert it as a cheap sub-agent under the paid CLOUD code.

Rundown: OpenAI lost Three top executives in one day, with the departures of former COO Kevin Weil, Sora leader Bill Peebles, and head of enterprise applications Srinivas Narayanan – capping a month of leadership changes as the company kills “side tasks” for a narrower focus.

  • Former CPO Weil led OpenAI for science, which is being “decentralized” to other teams, with the Prism app for scientists also integrated into Codex.

  • Peebles led Sora up to OAI killing Last month’s video app overcharged, Contact Its development is “the honor and adventure of a lifetime”.

  • Narayanan ran OAI applications for three years after spending 13 years at Facebook, and He said In X, he heads to India to care for his elderly parents.

  • Sam Altman books In a recent blog post, OpenAI is “now a mainstream platform, not a volatile startup” and needs to “operate in a more predictable way.”

Why it matters: Last month, we covered OAI cancellation “Side Quests” to Catch Anthropy After a month, the changes definitely became visible. Whether these departures are actually a result of this change or just personal moves, they are significant – especially Will, who has been the face of the company’s science-related efforts.

In each newsletter we show how the reader is using AI to work smarter, save time or make life easier.

Today’s workflow comes from the reader David B. In New Zealand:

“I have a small recording studio that focuses on folk and acoustic roots music. I used ChatGPT to write a plug-in-style application based on the Cubase plug-ins. I can play my mix through the application, and it can recognize each instrument and provide EQ and editing suggestions for each that will bring the track to a mastering-ready state. It creates waveforms and tables to present the information in an easy-to-read GUI.

I then load a reference track, and it will advise me what EQ is needed to essentially match the look of the reference track. This gave me great technical information about each recording so I could manually make changes to the mix to suit what I wanted to achieve, but make sure it was technically excellent.
